On Tuesday, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Assadi submitted a statement of his financial assets for the year 2023 to the Federal Integrity Commission.
The Ministry of Labor stated in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “its minister submitted a statement of his financial assets for the year 2023 to the Federal Integrity Commission.”
The statement added, "Al-Asadi submitted a list of financial interests to the Integrity Commission out of his belief in the supervisory role of the Iraqi regulatory bodies and to work transparently and clearly, and to support their efforts in combating financial and administrative corruption."
The Integrity Commission said earlier, “The Prevention Department received two financial disclosure forms for the current year for the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, and the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, to be the first officials to disclose their financial liabilities from the heads of the three authorities.”
