Yesterday, Saturday, Minister of Health Saleh Al-Hasnawi expressed his ministry’s determination to continue implementing the priorities of the government program for the health sector.
A statement from the Ministry stated that, “The Minister of Health held a meeting with the General Company for Marketing and Importing Medicines and Medical Supplies (Kimadia) in the presence of the company’s Director General, Ahmed Sami, and the directors of departments, divisions, and committees concerned with purchasing medicines at the Ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of the Director General of the Administrative, Financial, and Legal Department, Riyad Abdel Amir Al-Halafi, and a number of... Ministry specialists.
He added, "During the meeting, import contracts and the most important challenges facing the work of the General Company for Marketing and Importing Medicines and Medical Supplies (Kimadia) and the proposed solutions to develop its work and its plan for the current year 2024 were discussed."
Al-Hasnawi stressed, according to the statement, “the importance of providing the necessary medicines and medical supplies to health institutions and proposing short- and long-term solutions to enhance the provision of medicines to health departments and institutions in Baghdad and the governorates, in a way that contributes to enabling them to provide efficient preventive, curative, and rehabilitative medical services to citizens,” pointing out that “the Ministry continues Implementing the priorities of the government program for developing the health sector in Iraq and providing medicines in all health institutions in Baghdad
