    The Ministry of Transport intends to activate the mass transportation system in the country, and Nineveh will be the first stop, followed by the rest of the governorates in turn. 
    Director of the Ministry’s Media Office, Maitham Al-Safi, said in an interview with Al-Sabah, followed by Al-Iqtisad News, that his ministry intends to activate the mass transportation system, by contracting with universities and placing red buses in their centers and vital areas, in addition to providing regular services and specific timings, provided that it operates with a payment system. Electronically, revealing that Nineveh will be the first station where the project will be implemented, followed by the rest of the governorates. 
    He added that the Ministry intends to convert all mass transportation services during 2024 to the electronic payment system, which will provide integrated services to citizens in all governorates, revealing that it has contracted with more than one university in Baghdad, Najaf Al-Ashraf, Nineveh, Basra, Salah al-Din, and Kirkuk, for the purpose of adopting red buses to secure the transportation of students during...
