The Presidency stated, in a statement received by Al-Sumaria News, that “one of the satellite channels broadcast, through one of its programs, misleading information that has nothing to do with reality and is related to what it called a request from the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Gamal Rashid, to visit Washington.”
She explained that "the President of the Republic did not submit any request to visit the United States, and the Presidency of the Republic continues its positions regarding what is happening in the region, especially with regard to the Palestinian issue and the relationship with the United States of America. These positions stem from the clear and declared policy of the Republic of Iraq, where operations were condemned." The bombing that targeted multiple areas in Iraq, including the American bombing.”
According to the statement, the Presidency of the Republic affirmed, “it reserves the right to adopt legal means to confront these allegations and blackmail operations,” demanding “the program presenter to present any evidence or document that confirms his misleading claims.”
