    [size=45]The Ministry of Agriculture confirmed that shipments of imported calves will continue to arrive in Iraq to contribute to reducing meat prices to less than they were previously.[/size]
    [size=45]Director of the Epidemiology Department at the Ministry, Thaer Sabri Hussein, said, “A shipment of imported calves finally arrived at the waiting station in the port of Umm Qasr in preparation for unloading its cargo,” noting that “the ministry formed a committee in cooperation with the veterinary hospital in Basra and the veterinary quarry in the port of Umm Qasr to examine the calves.” “.[/size]
    [size=45]He added, “The technical committee reviewed the calves and they are in good health, completed their health procedures, and informed the border crossings of the launch of this shipment,” noting that “the ship that brought the shipment traveled the distance in 24 days.”[/size]
    [size=45]He continued, “The ship has arrived at the dock in the port, and the calves will be distributed among the governorates,” explaining, “These calves are in good health and free of any disease, epidemic symptoms, or epidemic disease.”[/size]
    [size=45]He stated, “The slaughtering process will take place in official slaughterhouses under veterinary health supervision,” noting that “the health procedures regarding these calves are complete.”[/size]
    [size=45]He stated, “The arrival of this shipment a few days before the month of Ramadan is sufficient to reduce meat prices, in addition to other shipments coming soon.”[/size]
    [size=45]He stated, “These measures come in implementation of the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani and Minister of Agriculture Abbas Jabr Al-Maliki, to provide health-safe meat.”[/size]
