The head of the Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, announced today, Sunday, that the Commission has restored and prevented the wasting of more than (2.5) trillion dinars of public funds.
Hanoun said in a statement received by Al-Maalouma, that “the total of public funds that the Authority has prevented from being wasted, and whose return judicial rulings have been issued, and which it has stopped wasting based on its procedures, and which have actually been returned to the account of the public treasury, and which were seized during the seizure operations during the year 2023, It amounted to more than two and a half trillion dinars.
He explained that “the funds that were actually returned to the state treasury in the year 2023 amounted to approximately four hundred and thirty billion dinars, while judicial rulings were issued to return approximately 70 billion dinars.” End25
