Today, Sunday, the Federal Court is considering a lawsuit requesting that the Kurdistan Region be obligated to implement the federal government’s decision to close camps for the displaced until (June 30, 2024).
Earlier this month, the Federal Court received a complaint submitted by the Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Ivan Faiq, against the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Region, Masrour Barzani, and the Region’s Interior Minister, Reber Ahmed, demanding the resolution and implementation of Council of Ministers Resolution 24007 of 2024 and that it be subject to Who was prosecuted to implement the decision.
The lawsuit calls for the implementation of the Council of Ministers’ decision regarding the return of displaced persons in the Kurdistan region to their homes.
