    On Monday, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry condemned the targeting of the Iranian diplomatic mission in the Syrian capital, Damascus.[/size]
    [size=45]The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that “this attack by the Israeli occupation forces represents a clear and flagrant violation of international law and Syrian sovereignty and warns of the danger of compromising the security of diplomatic missions that have diplomatic immunity under international laws.”[/size]
    [size=45]It also warned that the expansion of the cycle of violence in the region would lead to more chaos and instability.[/size]
    [size=45]The Foreign Ministry called on the international community to “take urgent action to stop the killing and destruction in the Gaza Strip and the continued targeting of Syrian territory.”[/size]
    [size=45]The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that eight people were killed when “Israeli missiles destroyed a building attached to the Iranian embassy on the Mezzeh Highway in the capital, Damascus.”[/size]
    [size=45]The Iranian ambassador to Syria, Hussein Akbari, confirmed that his country would “respond decisively” to the bombing while speaking about a lower death toll, saying, “At least five people were killed in the attack carried out by F-35 fighter jets.”[/size]
    [size=45]Iranian state television reported that the prominent leader of the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guard, Mohammad Reza Zahedi, was killed in the attack, along with five other figures in the Revolutionary Guard.[/size]
