[size=45]The Muthanna Investment Authority announced the approval of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals for two strategic projects for chemical fertilizers (urea fertilizer and DAP fertilizer) in the governorate.[/size]
[size=45]The Chairman of the Authority, Adel Dakhel Al-Yasiri, said in a statement, “Al-Muthanna Governorate and the Investment Authority bless this approach of the Ministry of Industry to establish ambitious industrial projects that take into account quality and adhere to environmental requirements in line with the development and economic program of the Prime Minister and the aspirations of His Excellency the Minister of Industry.”[/size]
[size=45]Al-Yasiri added, “The main goal of these projects is to expand the national industrial base, diversify sources of income, and raise the percentage of productive activities’ contribution to national income.”[/size]
[size=45]He continued, “The fertilizer industry is one of the pioneering projects that awaits a bright future in terms of economic feasibility due to its extensive interactions with vital production sectors,” stressing that “Iraq possesses a large reserve of raw materials for the production of nitrogen fertilizers that meet the market’s need in light of the expansion of agricultural projects.”[/size]
