On Tuesday, the Parliamentary Human Rights Committee determined the fate of the enforced disappearance law, while explaining the reason for returning the law to the government.
The head of the committee, Arshad Al-Salhi, said in an interview with the Al-Ma’louma Agency, “The law on enforced disappearance is one of the laws that was received from the government to the House of Representatives,” noting that “the law was returned to the government at the request of the political blocs.”
He added, "There are multiple parliamentary opinions stressing the necessity of returning the law to the government," noting that "his committee has no objection to proceeding with reading the law."
He pointed out that "there are committees studying this law in agreement with the concerned authorities to reach understandings about the law." Ended / 25 h
