    On the other hand, the report expects that fragile countries affected by conflicts in the region, such as Yemen, will suffer from some effects, albeit indirect, resulting from trade shocks related to the Suez Canal crisis or the possibility of diversion of international aid, which is a vital source of financing to confront the structural deficit in Foreign transaction accounts and public finance accounts.

    While the Bank believes that neighboring countries, such as Jordan and Egypt, are more vulnerable to the direct impacts of conflict through channels such as tourism, energy-related primary commodities, fiscal pressures, and foreign exchange earnings.
