    ministry governors and provincial councils and demanded the commitment quotas provinces of power and lack of overtaking them to achieve justice in the distribution between provinces , which witnessed most of them at the present time equipped throughout the day without interruption," stressing the need to "promote education and urge citizens to pay the wages of energy consumption as a national duty for the benefit of the citizen and the ministry through the implementation of their projects and achieve their goals." 
    the Iraq suffers a shortage of electric power since the beginning of the year 1990, but the past three years have seen an improvement in the provision of electric power after opening a number of power stations which (Zubaydiah in Wasit and good deeds in Karbala and Alhaidariya in Najaf and the station gas in Maysan and two stations in Diwaniya station al - Sadr in Baghdad, and stations Shatt al - Arab and Rumaila in Basra and the station gas in Kirkuk), where operating hours continue to about 20 hour special with low temperatures while shrinking operating hours with high temperatures and increased loads on the power plants during peak times. 
    in spite of the attainment of energy production in Iraq , about 12 thousand megawatts, but it is still below thelevel of ambition and the need, which amounts to more than 20 thousand MW to all parts of Iraq, which needs a huge investment to reach self - sufficiency.
