General Company for the manufacture of fertilizers, one of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals announced on Monday, being able to achieve 70% of design capacity after the end of the first and second phases of the rehabilitation project of their production lines, as indicated that the project was funded by the Japanese JICA company worth $ 160 million US, confirmed that they will be covered by the completion of the third phase of the project.
    The director of the State Company for Fertilizers Fawzi Abbas Ali in a statement received (range Press), a copy of which, "The cooperation with the Japanese JICA company resulted in the rehabilitation of two lines Antegean in fertilizers Basra plant and access energies productivity to 70% of design capacity, equivalent to 1,000 tons of urea per day. "
    Ali promised it is "a great achievement for the company at a time when there are still some problems and bottlenecks in the production lines are prevented from raising production capacity at the moment,"
    And the director of the General Company for the manufacture of fertilizer that "the company is currently studying the bids submitted and the assignment for the purpose of implementation of the third phase of rehabilitation to address these bottlenecks," pointing out that the rehabilitation project, which was introduced since 2005 came after cooperation and coordination with the Japanese government, which has provided a loan of (160) million, equivalent to 18 billion yen and in three phases. "
    He explained that "the stage (A), the first phase of the rehabilitation works fully implemented at a cost estimated at 65 million dollars for the rehabilitation and re-plant operation and phase (B) a second phase for the import of spare parts fully required, which amounted to a total cost of 15 million dollars." .
    He pointed out that the "company will implement phase (C), the third and final phase of rehabilitation to solve the problems and bottlenecks experienced by the production lines and raise production capacity to 80% of the design capacity of the work."
