Today, Saturday, the Integrity Commission announced the recruitment of a general director in the Ministry of Electricity to disburse funds for a project contracted with a Belgian company.
A statement from the Integrity Commission, received by Mawazine News, said: “The Commission’s Investigations Department announced the issuance of an order to bring in the General Director of the General Company for Electrical Energy Production in the former Middle Euphrates, because he deliberately committed something that violates the duties of his job, with the intention of benefiting people at the expense of the state.”
The statement added, “The judge of the Hilla Investigation Court, which is competent to look into integrity cases, decided to bring in the complainant, in order to exceed the financial and administrative powers and spend an amount of (252,000,000) million dinars on a project contracted with a Belgian company, in addition to referring the implementation of the Ibrahimiya-Khayrat line to a subcontractor.” And exceeding the percentage (30%) specified in the direct implementation instructions.
He pointed out, “The work was started without preparing an estimate statement and changing the locations of the construction of loan stations in Karbala, pointing out that the results of laboratory tests for construction materials were changed, and he canceled the contract with the companies of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, and resorted to local markets to prepare the steel of the towers in agreement with the supplier of a company.” Turkish, in violation of the regulations.”
