    Light News / Baghdad

    Announced the official spokesman for the US Embassy in Baghdad, on Friday, the signing of the project "plan to increase electric power" between the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity Company and the US energy giant.



    The embassy statement said "light News" received a copy of "US Ambassador Stuart Jones attended the ceremony of announcement of the signing of the project" plan to increase electric power "on January 28 at the Babylon Hotel between the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity and energy company of American giant General Electric GE".

    The statement added that the ambassador stressed that this "project will not only sustain and increase power in Iraq by about 700 MW in the peak period in the summer only, but also ensure Iraq for a higher ability to generate electricity available in all parts of the world."

    Ambassador Jones said "This project is a clear example of the close cooperation between Iraq and the United States to support the Prime Minister's efforts to provide better services to the Iraqi people."
