Thi Qar/ Iraq TradeLink: A number of pro-environmental organizations registered a number of violations in Iraqi marshes in the province that will affect the listing of these areas in the International Heritage List of the UNESCO.
Thi Qar environment department confirmed that the fishermen used explosives or electrical machines in their fishing.
