The drought has affected all aspects of the lives of simple citizens. It has harmed the introduction of agriculture and forced the emigration of farmers from their land in search of other employment opportunities. This will also affect the country's fisheries. Dhi Qar will deny this year the release of millions of fish in the marshes , Due to low water levels, as approved by the Department of Conservation Agriculture.
"The water crisis will deprive the province of the release of 51 million fish and fish larvae in the marshes," said Assistant Director of Dhi Qar Agriculture Department Faraj Nahe Tamar.
He added that the low levels of water and instability of water mass in the marshes and fears of the next phase of drought, which offers the release of fingerlings to be destroyed in light of the continuation of these conditions.
He pointed out that the Department has attempts with the Department of Animal Resources on the possibility of releasing these fingerlings in the course of the day, which has the appropriate quantities of water in the event of official approvals.
It is noteworthy that with the aggravation of the water crisis because of the scarcity in the provinces of southern Iraq, escalating differences between the departments of the councils of those provinces, where the method of throwing charges and exchanged among them is prevalent in Iraq now, where the Directorate of Water Muthanna province, on Sunday, And Babil to prevent the access of the water quota of the province adequately, with full responsibility for the drought in Muthanna, while pointing to control of the water crisis in Muthanna province by 90%.
