Pentagon: Our fighters flew near the North Korean border
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - US fighter jets flew into the demilitarized zone near the east coast of North Korea, the US Defense Department said, as a show of strength, according to Washington.
"This move is a confirmation that there are a large number of options in the hands of US President Donald Trump to counter any threats," Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White said. " The US measure shows how far Washington takes North Korean threats seriously ."
The international arena has witnessed a record between the United States and North Korea in recent months to the point of mutual threat.
In his address to the United Nations General Assembly this week, Trump said he was ready to "completely destroy North Korea" if his country had to defend itself or any of its allies.
It is the latest incursion into the demilitarized zone near the east coast of North Korea, where US fighter jets are flying in the 21st century. Finished
