Bait al-Hikma Seminar: Foreign Policy for Iraq's International Position
20/12/2017 12:00 am [rtl]Baghdad / Mohammed Ismail The Department of Political and Strategic Studies in Beit al-Hikma held a symposium yesterday on the topic of "Iraq's foreign policy .. to strengthen Iraq's international standing" and included research presented by specialized academics with the participation of a group of advisers of ministries and university professors in the presence of "morning". The seminar was opened by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Beit Al-Hikma, Dr. Ihsan Al-Amin, with a speech in which he stressed the diplomatic importance of strengthening Iraq's relations with its international and humanitarian environment on the basis of mutual benefit and respect for privacy. The conference was divided between two sessions, the first of which included research on "foreign policy of Iraq" by Dr. Mohammed Al-Haj Mahmoud, advisor at the Ministry of Interior, "the role of cultural relations for higher education and communication with international organizations in support of Iraq's foreign policy" by Dr. Salah Abdel Qader Al-Nuaimi. In the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and "Towards a rational Iraqi policy, visions and theoretical frameworks" by Dr. Saleh Abbas Al-Tai of the Faculty of Al-Farabi University, and "Iraqi Foreign Policy on Turkey between the present and future prospects". Advisor to the European Center "Iraqi-Iranian Relations and Future Perspectives" by Dr. Starr Jabbar Alay, from the Center for Strategic and International Studies at the University of Baghdad, and "The European Union: An Overview of Relations with Iraq" by Minister Plenipotentiary Joan Hassan Tawfiq, Assistant Director of the Department of Europe , At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The second session was chaired by Dr. Mohammed Al Haj Mahmoud, Advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Mona Hussein Obaid from the Center for International and Strategic Studies at the University of Baghdad, including the "Iraqi-African Relations 1960-2017" by Dr. Abdulsalam Ibrahim Baghdadi. "Iraq's current relations with South East Asian countries, opportunities and challenges" by Dr. Shatha Zaki from the Mustansiriya Center for Arab and International Studies at Mustansiriya University, And "Towards a Creed Industry Diplomacy: A Vision in the Diplomatic Preparation Mechanisms "by Dr. Yasser Abdul Hussein, Assistant Director of the Institute of Foreign Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, concluding with" Parliamentary Diplomacy "by Dr. Emad Al-Sheikh Dawood of the Faculty of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University. In an interview with Al Sabah on the sidelines of the symposium, Dr. Saleh Abbas Al-Taei pointed out that the relationship between domestic and foreign policy organizes the society comprehensively, based on the use of vocabulary that serves foreign policy and strengthens Iraq's standing in the international community. Diplomat: "So the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the fulfillment of Iraq's interests internationally." Dr. Emad Allou urged the Turkish universities and research centers to work in the fields of security, military and international politics, stressing the good choice of the Iraqi negotiator, providing important visions and suggestions in national decision-making. "It is a thorny and important issue, given the transformation after 2003, from political isolation to openness and cooperation," Dr. Starar Jabbar Alai said of our relationship with Iran.
