The decision of the Legal Committee of Deputies MP Hassan Turan on the abolition of district councils in the districts of the provinces in the third amendment to the law of the provinces not organized in the region No. 21 of 2008.

He said in a press statement that the House of Representatives in its meeting on Sunday, 14 January 2018 voted on the amendment The third of the law of the provinces that are not organized in the region No. 21 of 2008, which eliminates the role of district councils in the provinces, adding that "the vote on the third amendment to Law 21 is a violation of the rights of the people of the regions and representative representation of them," noting that "depriving the sides of the expression of need, Kirkuk portfolio Knuahi Aaajy Walton Bridge and Xuan Taza Khurmatu is a violation of the principles of human rights and citizenship. "

    He explained "

"The vote on the third amendment to Law 21 in its current form is a setback to the concept of decentralization and puts us in contradiction with the package of canceling and merging ministries and the transfer of powers, in addition to reducing the seats of provincial councils, which will cause poor representation of citizens and services."

It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Council of Representatives voted on the third amendment to the law of the provinces not organized in the region No. 21 of 2008 in its meeting held on Sunday, 14 January 2018. J
