[ltr]Justice Ministry Inspector-General Hassan Hamoud al-Ukaili announced on Wednesday the recommendation to cancel 20 real estate restrictions owned by the state and citizens worth more than 28 billion dinars in 2017.[/ltr]
[ltr]In a statement received by Mawazine News, Aqaily said that "17 real estate restrictions owned by the state have been recommended to cancel their registration, as a result of the forgery that accompanied the procedures for the transfer of ownership illegally, indicating that the value of those properties exceeded (28) billion dinars" .[/ltr]
[ltr]He added that "the real estate recommended to cancel its restrictions as a result of forgery and return of ownership of citizens amounted to (3) restrictions of the value of (511) million dinars, has been recommended to those concerned to review the competent courts in order to issue judicial decisions to invalidate the registration, which acquired the final form," pointing at the same time "Revocation of registration of real estate that has not been registered in the final form shall be by a decision of the Minister in accordance with the powers granted to him in the Real Estate Registration Law."[/ltr]
[ltr]He explained that "one of the most important reasons for fraud in real estate registration transactions is due to the use of routine paper in the completion of transactions, especially transfer of ownership," stressing that "the transition to automate the procedures of real estate registration and completion of what the ministry planned to get rid of routine and manipulation of official papers and counterfeiting property State and citizens.
