    On the sidelines of the Baghdad International Book Fair, the Association of Iraqi Private Banks honored 14 political, social, cultural, scientific and sporting figures as well as Japan's Ambassador to Iraq Fumio Iwai.
    The honored are the greatest Arab poet Mohammad Mahdi Al-Jawahiri, economist Mahdi Al-Hafiz, the economics and finance scientist Dr. Mazhar Mohammed Saleh, the late Iraqi engineer Zaha Hadid, Dr. Abed Hashemi, media analyst Kamel Dabbagh, musician Naseer Shamma and Sarmad Khunda, sports commentator Moayad Al-Badri, playwright Sami Abdel Hamid, Japanese Ambassador Fumio Iwai, Ghazi and thinker Ghaleb Shabandar and activist Shomran Yasiri.
    The President of the Association of Iraqi Private Banks, Wadih al-Hanalal, during a ceremony honoring the Iraqi creators, which was held at Baghdad International Book Fair, and attended by "Economy News", "The Association of Iraqi private banks are making great efforts in support of Iraqi culture and competencies, and today we remembered the most prominent figures that served The country and gave him a lot, "adding that" the Association of private banks interested in science and scientists because it is the only way to promote the country and make it the thresholds developed countries. "
    He added that "scientists are a national treasure that all institutions should pay attention to and provide them with the appropriate environment for creativity." He added that "honoring scientists and prominent figures in society is aimed at encouraging Iraqi youth to innovate because young people are the ones who achieve development."
    On the other hand, the Iraqi Publishers Association expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Association of Private Banks for their efforts in the success of the book fair. "The Association of Private Banks has played an important role in supporting the moral and financial success of the book fair," said Abdulwahab Al-Radi, president of the Iraqi Publishers Union. "He thanked the efforts exerted by the Association of Private Banks in making the exhibition a success."
