The Fund for the reconstruction of the affected areas, the damage of 150 thousand housing units in the liberated areas of the control of the "Daash," indicating that the damage amounted to about 80 billion dollars.
"The size of the damage in the housing units reached 150,000 units in the areas liberated from the control of the Daqash organization," said Mustafa Al-Hiti, head of the fund. "The amounts needed for each sector, which we call damage and losses, reach 80 billion dollars.
"The damage is intended for the destroyed facilities, which is the book value of these facilities. Losses also account for the lost opportunities, as well as the human damage and the programs needed for rehabilitation, physical objects of construction and reconstruction, poverty, unemployment and other psychological damage."
The President concluded, large international companies believe that there are large opportunities in Iraq for investment, explaining that the opportunities come from two sides; the first is the wealth and natural resources to help to invest, and there are human forces that can also help in reconstruction.
