    [ltr]The leader of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al-Sadr met Tuesday evening Amir of the State of Kuwait Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah at the Palace of Dasman, Kuwait.[/ltr]

    [ltr]Al-Sadr is to pay an official visit to Kuwait as he left Najaf on Monday afternoon.[/ltr]

    Source reveals the goal of Sadr's visit to Kuwait

    A political source revealed on Wednesday the main objective of the visit of the leader of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al-Sadr to Kuwait, indicating that Sadr stresses the need for Iraq to maintain balanced relations with everyone.

    The Anatolia news agency quoted the source as saying that " The visit of the cleric Moqtada al - Sadr to Kuwait comes as part of his efforts to bridge the gap formed between Iraq and the Gulf Arab in the wake of the invasion of the former Iraqi regimefor the State of Kuwait in 1990."


    The source, who asked not to be named, said that "Sadr will push for improved relations with the Gulf states through the next government, and to achieve balance in Iraq's external relations between Iran and Arab countries."

    He added that "Sadr believes that Iraq must maintain balanced relations with everyone, so as to ensure his freedom to take decisions based on his interests and not the interests of neighboring countries."

    The leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr, arrived in Kuwait on Wednesday at the invitation of the official, while stressing during his meeting with the Amir of Kuwait Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, the formation of a national government fatherhood will sponsor the rights of all components.
