Netanyahu's wife denies allegations of "luxury food"

The wife of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has denied the charges against her in the well-known case of "luxury food."
"Her family is not used to eating royal food from fine restaurants," said Sara Netanyahu .
On January 22, the Israeli Public Prosecution announced that Sara Netanyahu, 59, was charged with fraud and dishonesty after a long investigation by the police.
Sarah Netanyahu faces charges of misusing $ 100,000 of public money for services at the prime minister's official residence. The authorities also accuse her of treason in a police investigation.
The indictment against the Israeli prime minister's wife touches another person named Sidov, who sought compensation for the expenses of delivering meals between September 2010 and March 2013 to the prime minister's official residence and the employment of private cooks.
If convicted, Sarah Netanyahu may be sentenced to up to five years' imprisonment, but the date for her trial is still unclear.
The Israeli Channel 10 quoted Sarah Netanyahu as saying during her interrogation that she and her family were eating "simple food" and were not used to the royal food. They did not waste money but lived in an "austerity regime."
