    BAGHDAD - A report on the Basra water survey conducted by Saad Mti Botros of the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Basra revealed the presence of E. coli bacteria causing diarrhea and intestinal colic.

    According to the document, "Eye of Iraq News", a copy of it, that "the results of analysis in the report confirmed the rise of lead element ( pb ) of the model ( EF ) for the rest of the models, and also showed the increase of the proportion of sulfur ( SO ) of the model ( E ) The results of the increase in the ratio of phosphate ( po4 ) of the model ( F ) from the rest of the models compared with the standards of the World Health Organization ( WHO ), it is concluded from these models of increased pollution in the waters of the Shatt al-Arab toxic elements and compounds.

    "The results showed the prevalence of E-coil, which causes diarrhea and intestinal colic, and 50 percent of the cases admitted to hospitals in Basra," she said.
