LONDON (Reuters) - The European Union's ambassador to Iraq Ramon Blikwa said on Thursday that he had been poisoned in Basra and said the severe pain he had endured made him feel the suffering of the people of the southern Iraqi city.
He described in press statements that the state of poisoning that hit him on Thursday morning forced him to absent from some activities scheduled in Basra.
"The doctor told him that eating in a dish that was washed with this water is enough to get poisoned," Belkua said.
