    The economic expert Osama al-Tamimi said on Friday that the United States is seeking to reduce oil prices in agreement with the producing countries and its allies in OPEC, indicating that the reduction necessitates Iraq to reduce the price of oil in the budget of 2018 and make it as its predecessor.
    "The United States is working to reduce the price of oil in agreement with the producer countries and its allies in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, where the meeting will be during the next week for this purpose," Tamimi said in a statement.
    He added that "the weight of 2019 calculated the price of a barrel of $ 56, while Iraq sells today less than that, which necessitates the government to reconsider the price calculated, and reduced to less, and preferably the same as the budget of 2018."
    "The government must follow understandable and deliberate policies as Iraq can not remain a state dependent on oil in its economy. The government should move towards developing other agricultural, industrial and tourism aspects to increase the country's income." End 25 n
