direct : Advisor US President Donald announced that he still wants to meet with his Chinese counterpart at a time very soon.
US President Bill Clinton told Fox News on Monday that Trump still wanted to meet with the Chinese president as soon as possible and that he wanted a fair deal for American citizens and workers as well as for the United States.
The US Trade Representative and the Treasury Secretary are currently visiting Beijing to complete the round of trade talks between the two sides.
Conway added that there is still a possibility that the leaders of the two largest economies in the world will meet in March in Florida.
"Trump has forged a mutually respectable relationship with President Xi Jinping," the US chancellor said. "They will meet again soon."
Trump said last week he was not planning to meet with his Chinese counterpart before the March 1 deadline for a trade truce.
The United States-China trade truce took effect on the cessation of any new customs tariffs on any of their exports over a period of three months and during that period sought a trade agreement.
