    (Baghdad: Al-Furat News) Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halboussi met with his Jordanian counterpart Atef Tarawneh on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Doha.
    "The meeting discussed the enhancement of joint cooperation in the economic and security fields, coordination of efforts in the field of combating terrorism and limiting extremist thought, as well as activating the efforts of parliamentary diplomacy," the statement said.

    the President of the House of Representatives Mohammed Halbusi, on Monday, an invitation to his Jordanian counterpart Atef Tarawneh to participate in the Parliamentary Conference of Iraq 's neighboring countries to be held in Baghdad on the twentieth of this month, as he emphasized Troanh attending the conference. 

    "The Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohammed Al Halbusi accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, met with his Jordanian counterpart Atef Tarawneh, on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Doha," Al-Halbusi said in a statement.

    The statement pointed out that Halbusi "invited his Jordanian counterpart to participate in the parliamentary conference of the neighboring countries of Iraq, which will be held in the capital Baghdad on the twentieth of this month, and on the support of the stability of Iraq," noting that "the President of the House of Representatives of Jordan attended the conference confirmed on the date set."
