Foreign Minister receives telephone call from German counterpart Haikou Mas

Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali al-Hakim stressed the importance of achieving stability in the region and pushing for a solution to the crises according to the international authorities. He expressed his hope for continued cooperation between Baghdad and Berlin, and continued coordination and consultation on regional issues of common concern.
During the meeting, Hakim received a phone call from his German counterpart Haikou Mas on ways to develop bilateral relations in various fields.
Al-Hakim praised Germany's support for Iraq in the fight against terrorism.
For his part, German Foreign Minister Haikou Mas stressed the importance of Iraq as a factor of balance and stability in the region, expressing his country's desire to develop bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields, especially the economic field.
