, a senior official, revealed on Sunday, the bodies included in the committee formed under the guidance of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, to follow up the Aramco attack in Saudi Arabia, and the allegations that spread about targeting Saudi oil interests from inside Iraqi territory.
"The committee formed by Abdul-Mahdi includes representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the command of the border guards, the National Security and Intelligence services, as well as the Hashd security, to investigate the allegations of launching attacks on Saudi oil interests on Saturday from inside Iraqi territory," the official said.
The media office of the Prime Minister denied on Sunday afternoon what some media and social media circulated about the use of Iraqi territory to attack Saudi oil installations by drones.
The Office added that Iraq confirms its constitutional commitment to prevent the use of its territory for aggression on its neighbors and brothers and friends and that the Iraqi government will deal firmly against anyone who tries to violate the Constitution, has formed a committee of the relevant Iraqi parties to follow up the information and developments.
He added that Iraq calls on all parties to stop mutual attacks and to cause great loss of life and facilities. The Iraqi government affirms that it follows with great interest these developments, solidarity with its brothers and expresses its concern that escalation and military solutions complicate the humanitarian and political situation, and threaten our common security and regional and international security.
He stressed that Iraq reiterates its call for a peaceful solution in Yemen, to protect the lives of civilians and to preserve the security of the brotherly countries. It calls on the countries of the world, in particular the countries of the region, to shoulder their humanitarian and moral responsibility and undertake initiatives that put an end to this war, which is not profitable, which results in great human casualties, destruction of infrastructure and vitality.
