    [rtl]The Fateh Alliance, led by Hadi al-Amiri, on Sunday revealed the fact that Iraq has been assigned by some countries to play the role of mediation between Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran, to calm the situation between the two countries.[/rtl]
    [rtl]"Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi's visit to Saudi Arabia and direct contact with Iran, as well as with the United States, came because Iraq is the most powerful force that can play a role in lifting the crisis," coalition spokesman Ahmed al-Asadi told Shafaq News.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Al-Asadi stressed that "Iraq has played this role not by assigning this party or another, but it is moving to protect the interests of the Iraqi people. ".[/rtl]
    [rtl]A source in the office of Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi said on Saturday that the latter offered mediation to Saudi Arabia to stop the war in Yemen.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The station "Russia Today" quoted the source as saying, "The recent visit by Abdul Mahdi to Saudi Arabia, was carrying mediation on the crisis between Saudi Arabia and Iran, as well as stop the war in Yemen."[/rtl]
    [rtl]He added that "Abdul-Mahdi received positive reactions related to his mediation, and the Saudi side promised to make all efforts to calm in the region."[/rtl]
    [rtl]Talks between Saudi Arabia's King Salman and Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi saw "a review of developments in the region, including the sabotage of oil facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais" on September 14, SPA news agency reported.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Abdul-Mahdi, according to the agency, "the solidarity" of Iraq with Saudi Arabia and his concern "to the security and stability of the Kingdom."[/rtl]
    [rtl]Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi paid a brief visit to Saudi Arabia for several hours, during which he met with the Saudi monarch and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.[/rtl]
