(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) An Iraqi parliamentary delegation visited the BBC Foundation and was briefed on the professionalism of its media.
A statement by the media office of the deputy speaker of parliament, Bashir Haddad, said that "the latter visited the building of the BBC Media Foundation and met with a number of journalists working in the Arab section as well as the BBC Radio Arab and briefed on the media work of this ancient institution."
The statement quoted Haddad as stressing during the touring sections of the channel on "the media role played by the media in the renaissance and education of peoples and the delivery of facts without any exaggeration or procrastination," pointing out that "the media is the level of this institution, which plays an important role in the Arab and international media because of its Of the professionalism in conveying the news and preparing it distinctively. "
The statement added that "the staff of the BBC Foundation thanked Haddad for this visit, the first of its kind in ten years to visit a prominent Iraqi political figure to the building of the channel and his interest in the media."
