On Wednesday, a spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture, Hamid Al-Nayef, confirmed that [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] banned the import of 25 crops after achieving self-sufficiency, noting that [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] can achieve self-sufficiency in its crops in the coming years.
Al-Nayef said in a statement to "Information", that "the ministry prevented 25 crops from importing after it achieved self-sufficiency, especially those related to the food basket, wheat and barley."
