On Sunday, the Labor Committee called on the Parliamentary Social Affairs to launch the salaries of the social welfare network for two months at the same time as an emergency ordeal.
Committee member Fadel Al-Fatlawi said in a statement to “Al-Maalouma”, that “the curfew has caused the suspension of a large number of daily workers and negatively affected the lives of citizens,” noting that “the government has a responsibility to allocate part of the emergency budget as grants to poor families.”
He added that "those covered by the Social Protection Network reach their numbers to one million and 400 thousand families," calling on the government to release the salaries of the social sponsor network for two months, as one as a trial for them in light of the curfew and stopping financial liquidity in the markets.
The head of the Parliamentary Human Rights Committee, Deputy Arshad al-Salihi, called on the federal government yesterday, Saturday, to adopt a strategy that secures food and money for all Iraqis, warning of the country’s exposure to famine in light of curfews since the outbreak of the Corona virus. It ended 25 T.
