, "The Independent People's Bloc" spokesman, MP Sajjad Salem, confirmed his bloc's support to form a majority government, considering this a "partial development" in the Iraqi political system.
Sajjad Salem said in a televised interview followed by / Mawazine News /, "We resolved our position early and before the Federal Court ratified the election results, by going to the parliamentary opposition, and we believe that the current parliamentary session should witness two important developments, the first is the parliamentary opposition, and this matter has been done with us so far. The second is a majority government.
Salem added, "We support a majority government and consider this a partial development in the political system. We support the majority government for the purpose of determining responsibility. We do not want a prime minister who has no color, taste or smell, a prime minister that must be clearly adopted by the Sadrist bloc, so that if we want to criticize him, we say the prime minister."
