Today, Sunday, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced the imminent implementation of the school building project by two Chinese companies within the Iraqi-Chinese framework agreement, and while revealing the current projects within the agreement, it confirmed the Ministry of Planning's endeavor to include new projects within 3 sectors.
A spokesman for the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Haider Majid, said, "Ten days ago, the executive management of the schools project in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers began handing over work sites to the two Chinese companies, PowerGina and Cintoc, with whom 15 contracts were signed within the framework agreement with China, and now our technical and engineering teams are following up the procedures to be completed. Work begins with the implementation of the project.
He added, "The distribution of schools to the governorates according to the school building project was carried out according to standards and based on the number and need. There are double and triple-shift schools, clay schools, and others that are in danger of collapse. The number of schools was divided according to population ratios, and there was work in coordination with the governorates, and all the plots of land that were prepared and equipped were prepared and equipped." There are no administrative, technical and legal problems on it, and the amount is a thousand pieces.”
He added, "This number of plots of land is currently ready to start the school building project within the agreement with China, and the funds for financing the projects have been fully included and allocated."
Regarding the projects included so far within the agreement, Majeed explained, "So far, there are two projects within the agreement with China, which are the rehabilitation and development of Nasiriyah Airport and the project to build 1,000 schools.
