General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers revealed, today, Wednesday, that a number of vital and strategic projects have been presented to the government for inclusion in the Sino-Iraqi agreement.
The secretariat's spokesman Haider Majid said, "The projects that will be concluded between Iraq and China will be carried out through the Iraqi-Chinese agreement," noting that "a contract for the development of Nasiriyah International Airport was signed with the Chinese side, and the cornerstone was laid by the Prime Minister during the month of June." .
He added, "The procedures for the contract are in progress, as the Iraqi side has completed all its procedures, and there are some procedures that pertain to the Chinese government for the purpose of taking over the site," noting that "the second project is to establish a thousand model schools in all governorates, where the Executive Administration of the General Secretariat has arrived. Very advanced stages in this matter, and during the next few days, the contract will be signed with two Chinese companies that have been approved by the Council of Ministers."
