    The Ministry of Justice revealed “intense moves” to recover smuggled money and real estate located abroad, by filing hundreds of lawsuits, while the ministry is working to prevent drug smuggling into Iraqi prisons.
    The Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry, Ziad Al-Tamimi, said: "The government has moved intensively to recover Iraq's looted money and property, by filing hundreds of foreign lawsuits in this regard, and several memoranda of understanding have been concluded in this aspect, revealing that" some countries have expressed their willingness to cooperate in this field, by returning Its real estate is in the country, compared to the real estate in Iraq. With regard to the inmates who are placed in the correctional homes of the ministry, he explained that “their number reaches 52,000, as reform programs are implemented for them to integrate into society, including programs for intellectual reform or programs to acquire life skills.”
