    The United States welcomed the American nomination, Haider al-Abadi, to form a new Iraqi government by the Presidency of the Republic, on Monday, expressing readiness to provide full support for the new Iraqi government and comprehensive, urging Abadi on the formation of a new government and a national program as soon as possible. Said Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Bert Mac Cork, "We welcome the decision of the Iraqi president candidate commissioned the largest parliamentary bloc to form a new government," he said, adding, it was "an important additional step in the process of forming the government as stipulated in the constitution."
