The Iraqi Football Association announced, on Saturday, the visit of a Gulf delegation to inspect the stadiums and hotels of Basra in preparation for the upcoming Gulf Championship, while indicating that the delegation will "divide" the facilities and hotels according to need.
In a statement received by Mawazine News, the federation said that "the member of the Iraqi Football Association, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, received today, Saturday, at Basra Airport, the Gulf Inspection Committee for a three-day visit."
The statement added that "the committee is headed by the Secretary-General of the Qatar Arab Gulf Cup Federation, Jassim Al-Rumaihi, and the membership is Mirza Ahmed Ali from Bahrain, Abdullah Al-Faihani and Faisal Ismail from Qatar, and Muhammad Al-Khamisi from Yemen."
And he indicated that "this visit comes within a series of periodic routine visits to see the stadiums and hotels and to identify and divide the facilities according to the need (team hotels, dignitaries, media, organizing committees, referees), as well as hotels available to the public."
