    Erbil (Kurdistan 24) - The Minister of Education in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Alan Hama Saeed, said in his speech on the occasion of the three-year anniversary of the formation of the ninth ministerial cabinet that “the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government has allocated 199 billion dinars to develop the education sector, and there are three important points related to the reform law In the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan Regional Government, the first of these is the abolition of benefits from salaries and the multiplicity of salaries.”
    The minister pointed out that "the largest platform that includes the data of more than 2 million teachers, students and employees, i.e. 33 percent of the population of the Kurdistan Region, is now owned by the Ministry of Education, and we have been able to provide education to the children of expatriate Kurds, and since March 8, 103 students are studying The Kurdish language is constantly being used, and we aim to teach the Kurdish language to children born abroad.”
    The minister added, "As stated in the agenda of the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government, we have so far been able to review more than 35 book titles in a scientific manner, in terms of amendments and even the inclusion of new books, and at another stage, we have been able to grant more than 1,436 teachers permission to complete higher education. We have been able to create the largest electronic platform to conduct our transactions, and we have made all the data of teachers, students, employees and all school materials digital.”
    He stressed, "We have been able to secure 9,539 jobs so far, and have provided 39 teachers to continue the educational process in prisons and the reformatory of the Ministry of Social Affairs, and based on the directives of the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, we have provided funding for refugee schools, after the organizations stopped providing financial support for teachers' salaries."
    He added, "We have gained the right to take two of the most advanced and distinguished tests by educational institutions in the world, and this will be the basis for comparing the education sector in the Kurdistan Region with other countries around the world that participate in these tests and are within their own educational system."
    The minister added, "We were able to return 13,000 children to school, and we have now completed the teacher training strategy in the Ministry of Education, which we want to create a turning point in the field of training, and 46 billion and 526 million have been allocated to complete several new schools throughout the Kurdistan Region, and with the help of all Related parties, we were able to renovate 635 schools, kindergartens and institutes in this booth, either in whole or in part, and in addition to providing salaries for teachers and education staff, 199 billion dinars have been allocated for the development of the education sector.”
