Cash sales of the dollar rise in the Central Bank of Iraq auction
Shafaq News/ Cash sales of the dollar rose in the Central Bank of Iraq auction today, Wednesday.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 265 million and 890 thousand and 136 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that the process of cash purchase of dollars by banks rose to reach 51 million and 50 thousand, while the rest of the amount of 214 million and 840 thousand and 136 dollars went to strengthen balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits.
Our correspondent indicated that 34 banks have responded to requests to enhance balances abroad, and 19 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 194 mediation companies.
