About a quarter of a billion dollars .. Sales of the Central Bank of Iraq are auctioned today
Shafaq News/ The bank's dollar sales in the currency auction today, Thursday, amounted to more than 240 million dollars.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 240 million and 58 thousand and 250 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that the process of cash purchase of dollars by banks decreased from total sales to reach 35 million, while the rest of 205 million and 58 thousand and 250 dollars went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits.
Our correspondent indicated that 33 banks have responded to requests to enhance balances abroad, and 15 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 98 mediation companies.
