The representative of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ronzi Ziyad Seydou, demanded the Prime Minister-designate, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, to allocate a share to the Yazidi component in the new government.
Representative Ronzi Ziad Sido said, in an official letter she addressed to the Prime Minister-designate: “The genocide campaign against the Yazidis on 3/8/2014 by the terrorist gangs of Daesh resulted in the destruction of the city of Shingal, the displacement of its people, the kidnapping and enslavement of women from our mothers and sisters, and the bombing Religious and archaeological centers and temples.
Representative Ronzi Ziad Sido added: "This requires you to pay attention to Shingal district and its people, rebuild the city and compensate the people, and we ask you to allocate the Ministry of Migration and Displacement for the Yazidi component or the position of deputy minister in one of the ministries in the new government and outside the quotas for the parties. They return to their homes despite the passage of more than 7 years of displacement, and they are still languishing in the miserable displacement camps."
