The law abolishing the privileges of presidencies and officials did not see the light despite being voted on in Parliament in the year 2019. A series of privileges enjoyed by officials is represented by the formation of large protection regiments, large treatment and travel allocations, in addition to open allocations for food and drink, which reached huge numbers.
During the current parliamentary session, a parliamentary movement appeared seeking to activate the decision that has been stalled for three years, represented by canceling or at least reducing the privileges of current and former presidencies and officials. Representatives indicated the need to activate the decision as soon as possible.
