The Office of the Prime Minister announced, on Thursday, the continuation of the air bridge to transport relief materials and humanitarian aid to Syria and Turkey.
A statement from the Prime Minister's Office stated, "Al-Sudani instructed the continuation of the air bridge to transport relief materials, humanitarian and medical aid, emergency needs, and civil defense teams to the earthquake victims in both Syria and Turkey."
The statement added, "The directive was issued as an affirmation of the solidarity of the Iraqi people and government with the Syrian and Turkish peoples, and as a contribution to mitigating the effects of the humanitarian catastrophe."
