    Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, decided, on Wednesday, to take a number of decisions regarding customs exemptions, most notably classifying materials according to their importance, and forming an initial audit committee in ministries to speed up work.
    Al-Sudani's media office stated in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that the latter chaired a meeting of the team concerned with customs exemptions, which was formed by the decision of the Council of Ministers in its session held on January 17, and consisted of the Director General of the Legal Department in the Federal Bureau of Financial Supervision, and the Director General Legal in the Investment Authority and Director General of government contracts in the Ministry of Planning.



    Al-Sudani was briefed on the mechanism of the team's work with regard to customs exemptions that were taken in accordance with the approved contexts approved by the Council of Ministers, and the follow-up of the exempted materials to the beneficiaries of the ministries and the private sector and ensuring that they are not leaked to the market, in cooperation with the Investigations and Anti-Smuggling Department of the General Authority of Customs, as well as Discuss the most important obstacles that accompanied the work of the team and ways to overcome them.
    The Prime Minister praised the team's work and efforts, stressing that every correct and purposeful action taken will be faced with an escalation by the affected parties, stressing the need to move forward and overcome obstacles.
    Al-Sudani stressed the support of the audit team and the provision of all facilities to it, to expand its work and follow-up with the Investment and Industrial Development Authority to follow up on the project.
    The meeting witnessed the adoption of a number of decisions, the most important of which are; Develop a classification of materials according to their importance, and form an initial audit committee in the ministries to expedite work.
    On the other hand, the meeting discussed the needs of the electronic declaration project, network connectivity, ways to monitor the necessary allocations, and the time period for completion.
