Shafaq News / The Parliamentary Legal Committee announced, today, Tuesday, that it has five bills and bill proposals, with the government withdrawing most of the bills it had sent previously, while it indicated that the bills of laws that were carried over from previous sessions include "problems" and impede the work of Parliament.
A member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Raed Al-Maliki, told Shafaq News agency, "Most of the draft laws that were sent from the government to the Parliament were withdrawn and returned to the Council of Ministers."
Al-Maliki added that "the laws currently in the Legal Committee number 5 projects, including proposals for laws, which are a proposal to amend the Provincial Councils Law, amend the Retirement Law, the Legal Aid Bill, and amend the People with Disabilities Law, in addition to there are other projects present in Parliament."
Al-Maliki continued, "There are a lot of bills of laws that were carried over from previous sessions, most of which have political and technical problems," noting that "once those laws are put on the agenda, they disrupt the work of the parliament session by objecting and withdrawing the law from the agenda."
